It takes a special person to be a Chow Chow Puppy master. One who is willing to challenge the Chow puppy, be as strong minded as the Chow Puppy and be a good pack leader, as a Chow Chow puppy is happy to take control of any household.
Chow Chows are extremely loyal and will bond tightly to their masters.
Chows are not a particularly active breed and would do well in an apartment setting, but they will still need a brisk walk daily. Chow puppies do have a grooming requirement. There are rough and smooth coat Chow varieties. The smooth coat Chows are easier to groom thus somewhat lower in maintenance than the rough coat Chows.

The Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie), like the Collie, traces to the Border Collie of Scotland. Although the resemblance between the Shetland Sheepdog and the Collie is marked, there are differences which may be noted.
Shelties are an outstanding companion dog with a lovely temperament and are gentle, sensitive, loyal and dainty. Sheltie puppies are high energy, highly intelligent and extremely trainable. The Sheltie is one of the smartest breeds, and a Sheltie puppy is extremely willing to please their master. Shelties are very loyal and affectionate with their family, but generally are suspicious of strangers.
