"It has been some time since we brought little Shamus home, but on his 3-month birthday today, we thought we would drop you a note to let you know he is doing great. He is growing fast (up to 11.3 pounds on 12/29). He is eating well and is very comfortable in his new home. He is learning fast - he responds to "sit", "lay down", "look at me", "leave it" and is telling us when he needs to go outside. The other thing that really amazes us is that from day one he has slept through the night - no crying or waking up mid-morning. We get up at 5:00 am every day and he sometimes stays in his crate and yawns! He now can go up and down steps easily and loves to play on the steps (peeking through the spindles into our living room). He loves to play fetch and without any coaxing retrieves the ball and brings it right back for another turn. Everyone who has met him just loves him. He is very charming. "Just an update on Sunny, He is doing very well,happy, a great cuddler, Really enjoys walks, rides in the truck, zoomies, (run through the house at break neck speed without knocking anything over). We have him house broken and he is learning basic commands. Coming home from work is the best experience!! He appears to be smiling all of the time. "The puppy that we received yesterday, was greeted by us and my 3 children and 5 grandchildren. They love him and he returns the love. We couldn't be happier, he's such a wonderful puppy. A typical summer day--I hear a commotion outside-I look out the front door to find my 8 year old step son leading a parade of seven kids on bikes. The group pulls up in the driveway, my stepson proudly announces, "We are on a bike ride to see Lenny!" I let Lenny out the front door-loose, he runs out to greet the excited children. I decide to let them have their fun. After about 5 minutes I notice it is oddly quiet, so I poke my head out the door to make sure all is well- to see Lenny, rolling around on his back in the grass basking in the attention of seven happy children seated around him.
